Columbia Metropolitan Magazine Dream Home 2009

It is that time of year again, and I am pleased to announce that I have a feature wall in the guest bedroom with four of my recent paintings hanging floor to ceiling. The paintings were installed today, but the Dream Home does not open until April 3. It will run through April 19. The Dream Home is a newly remodeled English Tudor Home ....it is very large! Top designers in Columbia will showcase their talent in this fundraiser for the Amerian Cancer Society. The home will be featured in the upcoming issue of Columbia Metropolitan Magazine.

Image Transfer

This is a photo of my Mother when she was a child. Her maiden name is Summer, so she truly is a child of Summer. This tranfer was done using a photocopy of an original photograph, acrylic gel medium, wood block, and rub on letters. It is a bit of a process, but pretty cool. I plan on doing more of these in the future. The size of this is 4" x 5.5". I should have photos of paintings to post this coming weekend...stay tuned.
